September 12, 2019
For the 9th year in a row, GDS (part of Globalcom group) invited its clients and partners to a special feast in the heart of the Chouf at “Bkerzay Village D’hôtes et de Poterie”. The event took place on September 12th, under the theme “An invitation to disconnect”.
This event has become a yearly ritual in which GDS expresses appreciation and gratitude for the never-ending trust and faith of its clients. Mr. Maroun Chammas, board member, emphasized the group’s commitment to always be one step ahead in data telecommunication services and innovation. Chammas added: “Lebanon merits the private sector’s commitment in this journey, we will honor our promise for a better-connected Lebanon and we will be the first and major contributor for a fully “Fibered” Lebanon, that’s our ambition.”
GDS revealed its latest Fiber to the Home (FTTH) projects in Metn, after successfully having deployed (FTTH) in Achrafieh more than a year ago. CCO of the group, Mr. Elie Helou, greeted the guests and stated: “It is through our partners who have entrusted us to build a connected Lebanon that our dynamic and professional team has been able to provide continuous solutions covering Lebanese territory. Many more FTTH projects are in the pipeline, and we are committed to support new technologies and maintain peak performance to link individual and corporate segments with the global marketplace.”
CEO of Globalcom, Mrs. Samar Khalil, added: “In a pioneering move this September, GDS launched its new security services. We are ready technically and commercially to provide this new solution, which aims to protect your network. We have the expertise to allow us to confidently offer these services.”
The guests enjoyed an exceptional buffet prepared by chef Hussein Hadid – and they relaxed and disconnected in the heart of nature.
